Every picture is worth a thousand words, because each painting not only tells the story of its creation; the story of the subject, but also the story of the artist that created it. Blended in the fine acrylic
paints of Veny’s canvases are her lifetime of experiences including her early beginnings in Eastern Europe.
Veny was born in Bulgaria. Growing up in the beautiful city of Sofia Veny was no stranger to the arts
and creativity, as her immediate family was comprised of a professional photographer, a building engineer and
her grandfather George, a self taught oil painter, who worked as a humor and satire writer.
This foundation of art, creativity and her passion for learning eventually led her to private sessions with the
famous Bulgarian painter, sculptor and art restoration specialist, Lubomir Delchev (1930-2008). Veny also honed her craft by studying with painter, mentor and friend, Ivan Dodov.
During her time in Sofia University her creativity was unstoppable and she would sketch on anything she could get her hands on.Napkins, scrap paper, sketchbooks, all were used as vessels for Veny’s inspiration.Veny’s strict dedication to mastering painting and creating original
acrylic artwork did not leave much time for social pursuits until 2003 when she married her long time friend and moved to United States.
She has now built a beautiful and balanced life where she has two boys and is able to create the original
artwork daily and be with her family.
